Our Commitments

Our coaching practice is grounded in a set of clear commitments that guide how we show up in our work with clients. These commitments reflect our values, professional standards, and help to create the trust and safety required to do meaningful work. They outline the principles that shape our coaching relationships and the responsibilities we hold to support an ethical coaching process.

Professionalism

We uphold the standards and 8 core competencies of the International Coaching Federation (ICF), which defines coaching as partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that maximizes their personal and professional potential. Coaching is not therapy, consulting, or mentoring. We do not diagnose, advise, or impose solutions. While our work is informed by interdisciplinary learning models and systems thinking, we maintain clear ethical boundaries. Our commitment is to client autonomy, rigorous listening, and practices that build self-trust rather than dependence.

Confidentiality

We are committed to maintaining strict confidentiality in all coaching relationships. What is shared in coaching sessions remains private, creating a safe and trustworthy space for honest reflection, exploration, and growth. Confidentiality is foundational to the integrity of our work and is only broken with explicit consent.

Client Sovereignty

We believe that the client is the foremost expert on their own life and experience. As coaches, we do not tell clients what they should work on in a session or what decisions they should make.

Instead, we hold a space that supports you in exploring what matters most to you. Our approach is designed to strengthen your trust in your own inner guidance, discernment, and capacity to make meaningful choices.

If you are new to coaching and would like to learn more about what to expect, we invite you to review our FAQ page for additional information about our coaching process.

Non-Judgment

We create spaces free from labels, moralizing, or predetermined outcomes. There is no right or wrong way to live, only alignment with your own values and intentions. We approach every client, and every session, with curiosity, openness, and respect for their lived experience. Our role is not to lead you toward our worldview, but to support you in your journey towards clarifying what is true for you and making conscious choices that reflect it.

Movement over Maintenance

Coaching is meant to create movement, not maintain stagnation. We use coaching as a catalytic intervention to disrupt unhelpful patterns, uncover blind spots, and support practical action in individuals, teams, and systems. Our goal is not long-term dependency, but increased capacity and embodied change. When new ways of thinking and moving feel integrated and self-sustaining, the coaching relationship naturally concludes.

Accountability

We are committed to holding ourselves to high standards of professionalism and integrity in our coaching practice. If at any point our actions fall short of these standards, we welcome you to hold us accountable.  We believe growth happens through reflection and honest dialogue. We welcome feedback from our clients about what is working, what is not, and where we may have fallen short. Your feedback helps us deepen our practice and ensure that the coaching space continues to serve you in meaningful ways.

Accountability in coaching is a shared responsibility. As coaches, we are accountable for holding the coaching process with care, presence, and professionalism. As clients, you are accountable for the commitments, actions, and insights that emerge from our work together.
